Welcome the Lodsworth and our shop

Here we introduce our village and our new shop, and outline the proposals, the plans, the drawings and the fun we had in turning our imaginations into reality.

Please look https://exness-trade.my/exness-vip-account/ - we would welcome your thoughts and views.В В

The ancient village of Lodsworth sits on the South East slope of Bexley Hill overlooking the Lod Valley. Much of the village is designated a conservation area and the whole valley is inside the South Downs Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The oldest part of the village is at its lowest point centred around the church. From here the village spreads northward along The Street running up the valley towards Lickfold. The Hollist Arms is prominently located in the centre of the village.

The previous village shop is just across the road from The Hollist Arms between Hazel View and Primrose Cottage. The Parish of Lodsworth has not had a local shop in the village since 1988. The former shop, which also contained a Post Office was eventually bought by a developer, converted into a residence and sold on the open market. During the past few years there has been a groundswell of public opinion in Lodsworth towards an enhanced perception of the village as a highly desirable community.
In the last survey for the Parish Plan, there was overwhelming support to bring back a shop.

Recent years have seen http://exness-trade.my/exness-vip-account the building of a new Village Hall in 2000, which acts as a focal point for the flourishing cricket and football teams, the annual fête, as well as for many other local village activities. Only recently, an addition to the sense of spirit in Lodsworth life has been the introduction of a monthly film night, which is very well attended, the proceeds being donated to local groups. Our village Public House,The Hollist Arms, which is situated on the small village green, has also become very popular, attracting both local villagers and others from far afield. The publicans, George and Juliet Bristow, have lived in the village for many years and there is no doubt that their sense of community spirit has contributed significantly to Lodsworth’s attractiveness.
